A Gilbert Lane neighbor asked about parking and worried the small lane can't handle cars going in and out.

A 28-year resident raised concerns about Gilbert Lane's cobblestones, pedestrian safety, lack of sidewalks, and asked the building be lowered a story.

The next-door neighbor says he'll lose his view but holds no animosity and hopes to work together with the applicants.

She shares the cobblestone concerns, wants renderings showing the rooftop structures from down the hill, and is alarmed the open parking side faces a neighbor's living room windows.

Greater Portland Landmarks finds the design largely contextual but worries the roof deck makes it feel five stories, and suggests recessing the balconies and making the bays more prominent.
